Creating a New Storage Unit
Storage units represent your physical storage facilities (such as freezers or cold storage rooms). Each unit can contain multiple slots, where each slot represents a single storage space for one deceased individual.
Step-by-Step: Creating a Storage Unit
1.Navigate to the Storage section from the main menu on the left sidebar
2.Click the Add Storage button in the top right corner
3.In the dialog that appears, enter the following information:
Storage Name: A descriptive name for your storage unit
•Examples: “Main Freezer,” “Secondary Cold Room,” “Backup Storage”
•Use clear names that your staff will easily recognize
Number of Slots: The total number of storage spaces in this unit
•You can create between 1 and 100 slots
•Consider your physical facility size and expansion plans
•You can always add more slots later
Price Per Slot: The daily storage fee per slot in your local currency
•This is the rate charged per slot per day
•Example: $20 per slot per day
1.Click Create Storage to save your new storage unit
All slots in a newly created storage unit are automatically set to “Available” status, meaning they are ready to receive deceased individuals.

The price you set is the daily rate per slot. For example:

⚠️ Critical: If you do not set a price for your storage, the system will default to ₦0, meaning storage services will be provided free of charge. This could result in significant revenue loss.

Adding More Slots to an Existing Storage Unit

2.Click the View button next to the storage unit name
3.On the Storage Details page, you will see all existing slots displayed as individual cards
4.Click the Add More Slots button at the top of the page
5.Enter the number of additional slots you want to add
6.Click Add Slots to confirm
The new slots will be immediately added to your storage unit and will be available for use.
Viewing Storage Details
Each storage unit has a dedicated details page that shows all of its slots.
What You Can Do on the Storage Details Page
View Slot Status: Each slot displays its current status:
•Available: Ready for a new deceased individual
•Occupied: Currently housing a deceased individual
•Out of Service: Temporarily unavailable (maintenance, cleaning, etc.)
Edit Slot Information: Click the Edit button on any slot to:
•Change the slot status
•Add notes or special instructions
•Update slot information
Add More Slots: Expand your storage capacity as needed
Track Assignments: See which deceased individual is assigned to each slot
